And that is not all. You might even go so far as to say that, rather than espousing the “socialist” label so often associated with worker cooperatives, the ‘Every Individual Matters’ model takes the capitalist imperative to a new level and extends all the benefits of the capitalist model to your employees. It recognises and rewards the investment of both investors and employees, and ensures they work together to reap the rewards of their mutual contributions in a more effective, more productive and less wasteful system.
Achieving the remarkable is truly a team effort, for both an individual and an organisation. It depends on every member of the team doing their best, personally and collectively. You could say it is the result of a number of PBs. So if you want an organisation that achieves the remarkable and creates WOW! you need to recognise that ‘Every Individual Matters.’

Most “disruptive” ideas – like the examples rejected by IBM – were first mooted internally. Their originators, however, had the conviction, determination and drive to pursue them and see them through to success, with the ultimate financial rewards that followed. We call that entrepreneurial spirit, but there is no reason why it has to occur outside the organisation. Supporting their development and offering the originator a royalty in return, creates the best of both worlds. It taps into the creative capabilities of your most important assets whilst simultaneously ensuring that results remain “in-house.” That, surely, is the ultimate win-win.
